Currently based in the beautiful Bay Area of California, I'm a Chinese adoptee who has always loved tapping into my creative side and helping others through empathy and compassion. Before becoming a designer, I had experience as an educator, mental health worker, and psychology researcher. All my past roles required me to gather various types of data in order to get a full picture of the populations I was working with and how best to support them, which are all skills I use daily as a designer now. These experiences helped me realize my passion for using empathy to understand others and create tools built for an individual's needs .  Now as a designer, I love using data and empathy to get to know my users and build products that are enjoyable, useful, and that have a positive impact!
